Author and Chief Growth Officer Shamane Tan has impacted countless of people collaborating with global industry leaders as she continues to build a community and grow the ecosystem. She has sought to find out the key messages of top industry leaders from around the world to share their stories and learnings with her audience. In the year pre-pandemic, Shamane was invited to speak in more than 20 events and conferences in 6 countries and 8 cities. At one point during the pandemic, she was averaging more than 15 talks in 2 months.
Shamane is also a TEDx and Motivational Speaker in Sydney, Australia. Named by IFSEC as the Global Top 20 Influencer for the Cybersecurity Professionals category, and the 2020 Winner of the Highly Commended Australian Women in Security Network Award for ‘The One to Watch’, she is a huge advocate and business champion for cyber risk professionals and actively encourages people to look for new ways to take a step forward.
Building a Cyber Resilient Business; a Cyber Handbook for Executives & Boards is her latest 2023 publication co-authored with Dr. Magda Chelly & Hai Tran.
Her first book, Cyber Risk Leaders: Global C-Suite Insights – Leadership and Influence in the Cyber Age, explores the art of communicating with executives, tips on navigating through corporate challenges, and reveals what the C-Suite looks for in professional partners.
This business book has gained much attention in Kinokuniya, Times and Popular Bookstores in Asia, as well as being globally shipped out in the hundreds through My Security Marketplace. The e-book is also available on Amazon, Kindle and Google Playbooks.
Cyber Mayday & the Day After is her second book co-authored with Dan Lohrmann, signed on by global publishers Wiley and already on Amazon's Best-selling list across the US, UK and Australia.
